A: Yes. We apply for permits on May 15, 2026 (first possible date). Our 12-year partnership with UWA ensures priority allocation. If permits unavailable, full refund or alternative date offered.

Q: What’s the fitness level required?

A: Moderate. Gorilla trekking involves 2-8 hours hiking in steep, muddy terrain at 1,500-2,500m altitude. We offer porter services ($20) to carry your backpack.

Q: Is Uganda safe for tourists?

A: Yes. Uganda is ranked among Africa’s safest destinations. We maintain 24/7 security protocols, registered with tourism police, and provide emergency satellite communication.

Q: What about single supplements?

A: No single supplement for willing room shares. Private room available for $300 supplement (subject to availability).

Q: Vaccinations required?
